Reach Power (Reach), a leader in wireless power beaming, today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Panasonic Electric Works Co., Ltd., Osaka, Japan, to jointly explore the application of Reach’s wireless power beaming technology for smart building, robotics, and connected device use cases in Japan.

The collaboration will focus on evaluating how wireless power can support indoor service robots, smart building infrastructure, and other connected systems that may benefit from more flexible, cable-free power delivery. The companies plan to assess technical feasibility, customer value, business viability, development requirements, and Japan-specific regulatory considerations.

Under the MOU, which establishes a framework for joint evaluation and planning, Panasonic Electric Works will contribute use-case development, market insights, customer engagement, and support for Japan regulatory considerations. Reach will provide wireless power technical expertise, system design support, and data needed to evaluate potential prototype and demonstration pathways.
Reach’s wireless power beaming systems are designed to deliver energy to receivers without requiring physical contact, fixed charging pads, or wired connections. The company’s work spans defense, industrial, robotics, smart infrastructure, and autonomous systems applications where power availability can limit operational flexibility.
