CATHEDRAL CITY, CA, UNITED STATES, August 20, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Company of Shadows, the debut feature film from writer-director Dirk van Sloten, is now available to rent or own on Amazon, joining its existing release on Relay. The 73-minute queer drama/psychological thriller has collected four festival awards and six official selections since its 2024 festival premiere.

The film centers on Randy, a successful angel investor who becomes convinced that a prospective client, James, is the same man who ran the conversion therapy compound where Randy endured torture decades earlier. When James arrives at Randy’s remote cabin for what appears to be a routine investment meeting, Randy begins testing him — while his partner Gene, unaware of the real reason for the evening, grows increasingly suspicious. As the night unfolds, the four people in the room are forced to confront exactly what happened, and what justice might look like.

Company of Shadows stars Jeremy Urann, Bryan Maurice, Karl Chaffey, and Raquel Vilarino. Van Sloten wrote, directed, edited, and scored the film independently under his production banner, Tarot Man LLC.
